Welcome to the MA-IS Newsletter Summer 2011 issue

This issue of the MA-IS newsletter is our largest to date, comprised of articles, interviews, and notices regarding MA-IS faculty, students, and graduates.  It is always interesting and encouraging to read about the accomplishments of the faculty and students of the Program. 

We are also pleased to provide information on new course offerings, this time in Educational and Equity Studies in particular.  We are progressively increasing the range and number of courses and areas of concentration in the Program.  Please watch the MA-IS website, this newsletter, and your email for announcements regarding new courses and focus areas.  For instance, we are excited about the new Literary Studies focus area.  It is now open to receive students who wish to concentrate on the study of world literature in English (and in the future in other European languages).
